The BBC reported today that: "Around 5% of all pregnant women in the UK - more than 38,000 - are severely obese, putting them and their babies at risk, according to a new study.
A stillbirth is twice as likely if the mother is severely obese.Very overweight mothers are also at greater risk of blood clots, high blood pressure and bleeding after birth"
